Guitar scales, Image Art

I just finished making image-art for the ‘A’ Minor Pentatonic, and ‘G’ Major Scale with Chord Scale… for guitar.  http://www.jameslimborg.com/guitar-lessons.html

Lyrics from Billboard Hot 100

I added some of my favorite lyrics from the Billboard HOT 100 to my website.  I do not like lyrics that talk about sex, I like lyrics that are ‘G’ rated, kid safe.  Here’s the link to my new webpage:

I just finished working on 1 webpage that includes all the lyrics to my songs.  I also have included photos of my friends who I’ve written music with…  Steve Laws Anderson, Paul Booth Johnson, and Drew Kabanuk.  I’ve been tempted to also include the videos for the music that I made videos for… But I am concerned that the webpage would take too long to load for some people.  If you have any thoughts or suggestions on this lyrics webpage type them here, or email me at jim@jameslimborg.com .

It’s been ‘another’ day of steak with scallops.  I made a ribeye steak with 6 large scallops in my oven on broil.  I put butter on the top of the steak and scallops, with Louisiana Cajun seasoning.  I also shoot some lemon juice on the bottom of the plate around the scallops to dip them in… ohhh sooo good!  I have about 26 scallops left to eat.  I can handle that.

I’ve also been busy trying to get more traffic to my website, mainly for the purpose of making money with Google Adsense.  I get about 75 visitors a day at JamesLimborg.com homepage, and about 270 total visitors a day which includes the 58 or so linked webpages.  The most I’ve made so far with Google Adsense in a day is $2.20 which isn’t bad.  Almost buys my lunch for the day… and with gas prices going up… It helps as well.  But I’d like to make $100+ a day… but not sure if I can get that happening.  For now I am trying.  Content is key… So I’d need to put original content on my website that people want.  I’m working towards that.  Any tips you may have for me would be appreciated… post them here, or email me jim@jameslimborg.com .

Lawn Mowing, MoonLight Kentucky Bluegrass, Overseeding

Started my day mowing my lawn… It was raining some (sprinkling) while I was trying to cut the tall moist grass.  I had to cut some areas in 4″ strips because my lawn mower could not handle cutting the tall moist grass.  Very annoying trying to cut a lawn when it’s raining out… but I needed to cut it.  This year I am cutting my lawn with my lawn mower at the highest setting (4″ I think).  Tall grass = deep roots which help during hot weather get water to the blades of grass, tall grass help block out sunlight for new growing weeds… preventing some weeds from growing.  The last couple of years I’ve been making my lawn my hobby… trying to get a perfect lawn.  I did some research and discovered for Minnesota lawns… you want cool season grass seed… that being Kentucky Bluegrass… so I discovered to get a ‘dark green’ lawn you 1st need grass seed that gets dark green… that lead me to Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass.  I overseeded my lawn the past 2 years with Midnight Kentucky Bluegrass.  Then last year I discovered ‘the darkest’ Kentucky Bluegrass seed is called Moonlight.  If I ever overseed again, I will use Moonlight Kentucky Bluegrass.  All Kentucky Bluegrass seed have a 1-9 (9 = dark green) genetic color rating.  MoonLight has the highest/darkest-green rating of 7.9, and Midnight has a rating of 7.5 .  I got this information from a pdf file at sroseed.com .  So if you want the ‘darkest green’ lawn… first plant the seed that can ‘get’ the darkest green.  Then for fertilizer I use Milorganite .  Go to their website and watch their video how they make their fertilizer… it’s an organic product.  Along with putting Milorganite down… I also will put Scotts Starter Fertilizer down the beginning and end of the grass season… Don’t let the package fool you… It’s MORE than just fertilizer for seeding… I’ve had excellent results using it as a lawn fertilizer… try and you’ll see… It’s non burning and has 20-27-5 (High in phosphorus).  I also use Scotts Super Turf Builder products along with Milorganite.  You now know the grass seed to plant, fertilizer to use… When watering LAWN SEED to get it to grow… best to buy water timers (I own 2 Gilmour Model 9400 electronic timers)… and oscillating sprinklers (I use Melnor Delux Turbo Oscillating Sprinklers… I own 3 of them to cover my whole yard, my neighbors said it looks like a really good sprinkler… It lays the water down even everywhere… rather than other sprinklers that put 4″ of water in the center, and 1/2″ of water at the outer edge in an hour).  For NEW SEED… just keep it damp constantly… 1 time a day on cloudy days… 2 times or more on sunny days… just keep it damp… NO puddles.  For a mature lawn… best to water 1 time a week for 1-2 hours (1″ of water a week).  If HOT out… then water 2 times a week rather than watering little amounts every day… because you want the grass roots to grow DEEP DOWN… You’ll have shallow roots if you water little bits every day.    Cut your lawn frequently… 2 times a week… For the roots to grow their best… keep the lawn at 1 tall height consistantly.  To make a lawn THICK/DENSE… overseed with MoonLight Kentucky Bluegrass… Find someone that will lay your seed down with a Verticutter machine! and first have them core-aerate your lawn… Make sure you mow the lawn as short as you can WITHOUT hitting dirt, and get the lawn nice and wet to make the soil soft… so the core aerator plugs go deep into the soil.  You’re lawn will look terrible the 1st week of overseeding like this… but in 2 weeks it will look green again… and in 1 month you’ll start to be amazed how great it worked.

Food and Adsense

Well… Today I had another Filet Mignon and 6 large scallops… read below how I prepare them for cooking.  This time I got smart and put a fan in my kitchen blowing towards my sliding glass door to blow out any smoke that may set-off my smoke alarm… which DID go off (off meaning ON)… but only 1 time.  Great meal as I top it off with a Goose Island Root Beer… great root beer by the way.

Today I made a record amount of $2.28 from people clicking the Google Adsense ads on my website JamesLimborg.com .  The clicks came from my tennis and gymnastics page mostly.  Overall I make an average of $0.24 cents a day so far with google adsense ads on my website.  Not much… but it adds up!  I like.  It will help pay some of my bills… but I like to think of it as it paying 1 to 2 nice steak meals a year!  Sounds better than saying it will pay for my yearly supply of toilet paper.

I waited on SecondLife.com for Perla Saenz yesterday… no Perla… bu bu bu.  But Perla said she’d probably be playing cards with her friends yesterday… so I am glad Perla is having some fun with her friends.  I hope to see her tonight on SecondLife.com

Today at work I was busy getting their outdoor pool ready to open tomorrow (Monday). Lots of sweeping, removing leaves, cleaning out the pools skimmer baskets, putting out chairs, tables, umbrellas, cleaning tops of the garbage can lids, adding muriatic acid to the pools to get the pH down, adding chlorine to get the amount to 3.0, spraying weeds, spraying chlorine on green goopy moss that comes out of these small round holes in the side of the retaining wall from the rock beds above… Looks great out there now! I think my manager will be pleased.

Filet Mignon and Large Scallops

Today I made a large filet mignon with large scallops!  Just finished eating them… turned out great.  I put garlic powder and melted butter on both… and added paprika to the tops of the large scallops for color.  Broiled them both in my oven.  The scallops were done in 10 minutes… pulled them out in 12 minutes and were 2 minutes over cooked I think.  The steak I had to pop in for another 6 minutes… it was a big filet mignon… meanwhile, I ate the scallops while I waited for the filet to get done.  After cooking the filet mignon for 16 minutes… it was perfect and tasted great.  My darn smoke detector in the hallway kept going beep beep beep… fire fire… beep beep beep.  I had a fan blowing the whole time down the hallway, and the fan above the stove was on as well… but the smoke detector still kept going beep beep beep… while I am trying to enjoy eating my steak.  I finally opened a door to let the smoke out.  I think the problem was I left the broiling pan IN the oven after cooking the steak and scallops… instead of taking it out and putting it on top of the stove… I did that because it was smoking from the butter… so ‘I thought’ leaving it in the oven would be best… but was not.  As I type this, the plate is in the dishwasher, and I’m ready to start working on my website some more tonight.

Better Day… Than Yesterday

Well… I felt 50% better walking today at work than yesterday… happy for that.  After leaving work… bought 4 gallons of milk at CUB… Everyday I make a full pot of coffee… mix it with 1/3 cup sugar, milk, top it with whipped cream, and top the whipped cream with Davinci’s Chocolate Sauce.  I don’t each lunch at work… this coffee drink keeps me full til I get home and make food.  Today on the grill I cooked a nice filet mignon… put olive oil on both sides… sprinkled it with Louisiana Cajun Seasoning, garlic powder, and cooked it to perfection.  My gas grill ran out of gas!  But after the steak was cooked.  I sure would like to get a grill that was hitched up to my homes natural gas… It’s no fun running up to the propane store every couple months… I don’t like having that propane tank bomb in my car with me.

I went over to my messageboard recently… I still have 0 posts (Well 1 post… I just made that one)… noticed there wasn’t a way to post a message.  I had to learn how to set permissions for registered users to be able to post.  Geez… Why don’t the software install so people can post.  Wasn’t easy figuring out how to set the permissions… but I think I did it good.

Visited with Perla Saenz on SecondLife.com tonight.  Perla may play cards with her friends tomorrow night… so I may not see her tomorrow.  We didn’t do too much on secondlife today… When Perla came… I was sitting praying in a church… waiting for her.  We chatted a while there about our day today… and then went on a few rides outside the church.  Below is a picture of us in a helicopter with Perla at the wheel.

Everyday I meet Perla Saenz on SecondLife.com

Everyday I meet Perla Saenz on SecondLife.com . About 1-1/2 years ago I was told about a fun massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) called SecondLife. My name on SecondLife.com is LIMBORG LOON. I soon met PERLA SAENZ on the game… and we have been meeting on the game everyday for the past year and a half now. We’ve been to the beach, horseback riding, flew a helicopter, been on train rides, plane rides, and done a lot of fun things together on SecondLife. On the game, Perla and I are PARTNERS. Feel free to visit us sometime on SecondLife.com . Perla Saenz, in 1st life, is from Mexico… She speaks spanish really good… below is a message from Perla.

Free pics, SecondLife photos, Limborg Loon and Perla Saenz.

Perla”

Last of the Spaghetti sauce

Got home today after work, finished off the spaghetti sauce I had made almost a week ago.  I put ground pork, ground hamburger, and ground hot sausage in a pan… with 2 jars of spaghetti sauce… pretty meaty.  I keep forgetting to put it in the refridgerator after it cools down… it sat out on the stove room temperature for 12 hours… I ate it anyways… I feel fine.

Hemorrhoid Day!

Wow… How fun it is to have hemorrhoids!  Yesterday my manager had me clear out a room that was full of cement bags, masonary blocks, glass blocks, tile… a bunch of heavy things.  He got a nice cleaned out room yesterday… and I got a hemorrhoid.  All day today I was walking very slowwwww.  No fun.  Ooo… Ahh…. Ooo… Ahh… every step I took.  Then I got people asking me, “Why are you walking like that?”… I tell them I have a hemorrhoid.  They don’t seem to like hearing that…  Not sure what else to tell them.  I hope tomorrow is a better walking day for me.
